Construction Inspection

The Engineering Department provides construction inspection for all construction work performed within the City's right-of-way. This includes paving, drainage, water and sewer.

Inspections should be scheduled through one of the Engineering Department's three inspectors:

To Report A Problem 

Construction - Debris and Dirt. If you notice excessive debris and dirt in subdivisions currently under construction please contact the Engineering Department at 972-304-3679. In developed neighborhoods, dirt or debris in the streets should be reported to the Street Division of Public Works at 972-462-5150. After hours, a recorded message may be left at either number. Messages will be reviewed and acted upon by City personnel the following business day. Person reporting construction concerns should provide City staff with name, address, telephone number, location of concern or problem area, and as much detailed information as possible.

Construction - Noise Complaints. If you feel that noise from a construction project exceeds a reasonable level or occurs at an unreasonable time of day, please contact the Engineering Department at 972-304-3679 Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After hours, a recorded message may be left to report a noise complaint. Messages will be reviewed and acted upon by City personnel the following business day.
