Sidewalk Repair

The Streets Division provides services to repair broken or settled sidewalks. To report damaged sidewalks, call the Street Division Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 972-462-5150.

You may also report damage electronically by using this "Request for Service" link.

Sidewalks that are considered dangerous to pedestrians will be temporarily repaired as soon as possible, and the sidewalk in question will be inspected, prioritized according to hazardous condition and placed on the "Sidewalk Replacement List"  (click to view most recently updated list).

  • The repair will be made as the Street Division's budget and schedule allows, according to the priority assigned to that location.
  • Please be advised that property owners are responsible for maintaining the section of sidewalk leading up to their homes or businesses from the street or parking lot.

Annual Street, Alley & Curb Repair Project

The Engineering Department provides oversight of the Annual Street, Alley & Curb Repair Project.  The project is conducted generally between April and December of each year using the list of adresses requested or called in for repair from the previous year.

If you notice a street needs repair, a curb is crumbling or an alley is sinking, you can use this link to request repair.  A work order will be issued for evaluation and measurement of the location, and the address will be added to a list for repair during next year's contract period (excepting for extreme emergency cases).

The contractor for this year's project is Laughley Bridge and Construction, Inc. The city inspector for the project, Albert Samaniego, can be contacted at 469-576-1458.  If your address is on the repair list for this year, you may get a door hanger notifying you of the time frame for the proposed work, temporary vehicle parking requirements and/or trash pick-up changes.
