Yard trimmings, including grass clippings, leaves, and tree/brush trimmings are collected separately at your residential regular trash/recycling collection point. Yard trimmings will be taken to a compost facility where they are a valuable resource for making compost and mulch, instead of wasted, taking up space in a landfill.
Yard trimmings make up an estimated 12% of the total residential waste stream in Coppell. In an effort to increase diversion of waste from the landfill by recycling, the City of Coppell provides yard trimmings recycling through Waste Management, the authorized solid waste contractor.
