Basic Jr. Fire Academy

Life Safety Park, 820 S. Coppell Rd.

Free Spring Break Classes at Life Safety Park!

About: Does your child constantly tell you that he/she wants to be a firefighter when they grow up? Then this class is the perfect way to introduce them to what it takes to be a firefighter. Students will learn how to be ambassadors of fire safety by learning about the tools of prevention - smoke alarms, home escape plans, and fire extinguishers. That knowledge will then be put to the test in our Safety House. Once they've successfully mastered their fire safety skills, students will head to our Safety Town Fire Station to visit with a firefighter and get hands on with firefighting equipment. Registration is required.

Cost: Free!

Requirements: Children enrolled in this class should be in 2nd-3rd Grade ONLY.

Things to Know:

  • Arrive 10 minutes prior to class time
  • Candid photos may be taken
  • Parents are encouraged - but not required - to stay with their children for this class.
  • For safety reasons, child sibling attendance is discouraged. Those with younger or older child siblings may be asked to utilize the onsite playground during Safety Town activities.
