Animal Services Renovation

The Coppell Animal Services building is undergoing a renovation and has relocated to the building next door (500 Southwestern Blvd) while the facility is under reconstruction. Renovations are expected to take 13 weeks and Animal Services officials are scheduled to move back in to their facility in October.

The building was constructed in 2000 and had become undersized for the needs of the staff and public. The 456-square-foot facility remodel includes the addition of an animal greeting area, updated restrooms, locker room and shower space, a conference room and new office space. Coppell Animal Services has partnered with Grapevine Animal Services during the remodel.

"We're excited to gain some much-needed space at our facility, which will allow operations to run smoother and benefit both our patrons and our staff," said Animal Services Manager, Robert Smith.

While the hours of operation have changed to 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, there will be no interruption in service calls or City patrols. Animal adoptions will be suspended during the renovation. Coppell Animal Services successfully worked with several area animal groups and shelters and were either able to adopt out or rehouse all animals in their care before renovations began in mid-July.
