Coppell Youth Football 

August 1 – August 31

Coppell Youth Football is looking for families who would like to join the CYFA Cowboy family and their league. The league is open to anyone in kindergarten through 6th grade that live or attend a Coppell school or a school in North Irving. If interested, please send an email to president@coppellyouthfootball.org for more information on the league.


Coppell Farmers Market

The Coppell Farmers Market is the best unique, small market in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Vendors feature grass-fed meats and poultry, organic eggs, artisan breads, honey, and other specialty products. Come out to the Farmers Market to find local healthy food, develop a relationship with those providing your food, meet up with friends and neighbors, and be a part of the local movement. Seeking inspiration and support for your writing practice? Bring your notebook and pen and join Cozby Library and Community Commons discussions on all things writing! They share tips and tricks from a wide variety of sources and offer optional writing prompts, timed exercises, and chances to share your writing in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Facilitated by Amanda Kennedy and Tara Henderson. This class is for adults aged 18 and up. CPR-AED

August 8  |   9 am – Noon   |   Life Safety Park

Event is Full: Accepting Wait List Registrations

CPR AED is an instructor-led course that teaches critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency situation until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this free course include first aid, choking relief, and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants. There is no minimum age requirement for this class; however, all registrants need to be capable of comprehending the material and participating in the activities. In general, this class suits ages 15+. Registration is required and can be found by visiting LifeSafetyPark.org.


Simplify Your Spending and Saving Strategies

Have you been wondering how to start saving more? This virtual workshop is designed to help you sharpen your spending and saving strategy. You'll learn more about the basics of budgeting and the importance of managing credit and debt. Presented by Brooke Bradley of Edward Jones. For adults 18 & up. Virtual Craft Casual – Japanese Stab Stitch Notebook

August 13  |   7 pm   |   Cozby Library and Community Commons

Join Cozby Library and Community Commons for some casual crafting.  Complete your crafts by following the video instructions on the City of Coppell YouTube channel or register for this virtual class and join an instructor live.  If you were unable to pick up an adult crafting bag feel free to join us anyway.  Bring your own supplies or just watch and learn.  For this class they will be completing two notebooks using the Japanese stab-stitch binding technique. Virtual Lit Fix: Jane Austen

Jane Austen is famous for her bold heroines and romantic plots, but her works also include sharp critiques of English society. Why do we still find her works so compelling today? Join Cozby Library and Community Commons for a discussion of Austen's novels and how she expressed her struggles in her writing. You might find the challenges she faced to be surprisingly familiar. You don't need to have read Austen's works to participate just come with a curious mind. This program is designed primarily for adults; however teens age 15 and up are also welcome to attend. Come to Heritage Park this fall!  Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 10, for Pioneer Day at Coppell's Heritage Park.
