Back to School Extravaganza

Back to school time is almost here again and Metrocrest Services, your local source of support during times of need, is ready to assist families during this stressful time. Many families in our community find preparing for the return to school difficult due to financial worries. Metrocrest Services would like to reach out to struggling families by providing local students with essential classroom supplies to start the new school year with confidence.

Metrocrest is looking for volunteers to help organize this year's back to school supplies. Sponsors, donors and volunteers help provide the required school supplies to 1,250 students who are most in need, making it possible for students to receive essential school packs. Additionally, Metrocrest is looking for volunteers to distribute these essentials at their annual Back to School Extravaganza on August 8.

You can help by sponsoring a child. $40 pays for one child to receive an entire backpack and back to school kit. A $400 donation provides packs for ten children. For other sponsorship opportunities please call Nicole Newkham at (972) 466-2129.

Located at 13801 Hutton Drive, Suite 150, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234, Metrocrest Services aids individuals living in Coppell, Carrollton, Addison, Farmers Branch and the surrounding area. Last year, this organization helped over 15,000 individuals! In addition to back to school help, Metrocrest Services provides a food pantry, rent and utility bill aid, as well as financial and budgeting assistance. Their focus is assisting families, individuals and senior citizens who are coping with crisis situations, need help stabilizing their lives, or require support to live independently.
