Coppell has lots of ways to get involved and meet neighbors in your community. Below is a list with some of those events for the month of December.
Ladies come to The Christmas Gathering with Clint and Kelly Harp at GracePoint Church, 590 S Denton Tap Rd, Coppell on Thursday, December 1 at 7:00 PM, for a special girl's night. This promises to be a festive evening of fun and inspiration for all women. There will be light snacks, some craft and decorating ideas, giveaways and much more -- all in a beautiful Christmas setting.There will be worship with some familiar Christmas carols. Special speakers are Clint and Kelly Harp from HGTV's hit show "Fixer Upper". Cost for this event is $25 per person. Note: This is a WOMENS ONLY event.

Valley Ranch Baptist Church, 1501 E. Belt Line Road, Coppell, provides the lunch meal for Cornerstone Kitchen on the first Thursday of every month. On December 1 cooking and meal preparation will start at 9:00 am. Food is then delivered to Cornerstone at approximately 10:15 am. Additional cooking is done at Cornerstone, as well as table set-up and serving preparation. Serving takes place at Cornerstone beginning at around 12:15 pm until about 1:00 pm.
Christmas in Coppell Home Tour will be held Friday, December 2 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM with a candlelight tour from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and Saturday, December 3 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and are available at coppell.assistanceleague.org
St. Ann's Mothers of Young Children will host a MYC Children's Christmas Party on Friday, December 2 from 3:30 - 5:30 PM in the Cenacle at 180 Samuel Blvd, Coppell. Enjoy hot chocolate, sweet treats, Christmas crafts, festive music, games, a dress up nativity, and get a photo with St. Nicholas! At 4:30pm they will sing Happy Birthday to Jesus and cut his birthday cake! All are welcome!* * *Santa, Running and Family Fun! Are you ready to get off road this holiday season? Come to 367 Freeport Pkwy, Coppell and trek at Deck the Trails on Saturday, December 3 at 8:00 AM. This 3 mile off road challenge will take you through the new trails of the Coppell Nature Park. Come celebrate not only the holiday season but also this pristine trail system in Coppell. This run will benefit the Friends if Coppell Nature Park.* * *The businesses in Old Town invite the community on December 3 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM to their Vintage Christmas celebration. There will be live performances on the square, photos with Santa, shopping & dining opportunities and more!
* * *The annual Coppell Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place Saturday, December 3 at 6:30 PM. The lighted parade will feature beautifully decorated floats built by local groups and businesses, all with twinkling holiday lights. Line the Parkway Blvd. parade route early for the best spot, and watch for the “Best Decorated” and “Most Spirited” floats. The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for citizens who want to be a part of the fun!
After the parade, head to the Town Center Plaza for even more holiday fun! Watch the Tree Lighting Ceremony while enjoying holiday treats, including cookies and hot chocolate, roasted nuts, popcorn, and more. For the first time ever, this year’s tree lighting will feature fireworks! Listen to live music from the Justin Cash Trio, and shop the Christmas Craft Market for holiday and gift items including ornaments, jewelry, candles, soaps and more. Kids can write letters to send to the North Pole, and visit and take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus!
* * *Coppell Humane Society have two Adopt-A-Pet events scheduled for the month of December. The first will be held at Hollywood Feed, 120 S. Denton Tap Road #460 Coppell, on Saturday, December 3. The second event will be held Saturday, December 10 at Coppell Petco, 106 N Denton Tap Rd, Coppell. Both events will take place between the hours of 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Stop by and see their adoptable animals. Not all pets attend every adoption event, if you are interested in a particular pet contact the Coppell Humane Society by visiting www.coppellhumanesociety.com
The Coppell Young Professionals will meet for a happy hour at Mi Cocina, 110 W Sandy Lake Road, Coppell, on December 6 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Coppell Women's Club Holiday Luncheon will be held December 7 at the Courtyard by Marriott, 2200 Bass Pro Court in Grapevine. the event will be held from 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM with the shopping beginning at 10:30 AM. Lunch will be served from 11:30 - 12:30 with more time to shop after lunch. Cost for lunch for club members is $35 and for non-members $40.
Cozby Library and Community Commons , 177 N Heartz Rd in Coppell will host the HarpEssence musical group on December 4 at 2:00 PM. The group will perform classic Christmas songs on harps for everyone to enjoy.

The 22nd Annual Madrigal Feast, A Fool for Your Love, presented by Coppell High School Madrigal Singers, will be held Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 from 6:30 - 9:00 PM at the Coppell High School Commons, 185 W. Parkway Blvd., Coppell. It will be a night filled with singing, a comedic play and dessert or dinner and dessert. You will also enjoy two of our choirs in additional to The Madrigal singers! Tickets are available and range from $10-$28. It is suggested to get your tickets as soon as possible as they can sell out.
The Cozby Library and Community Commons, 177 N Heartz Rd, will have a special Santa Claus Storytime on Thursday, December 8 at 10:30 AM. Santa and Mrs. Claus will read books aloud.
Coppell Community Chorale's Tis the Season Concert will be held Saturday, December 10 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Rejoice Lutheran Church, 532 E Sandy Lake Rd, Coppell. Enjoy this free fun holiday concert featuring classic carols, new zany takes on Christmas and some beautiful pieces new and old. Donations to the Chorale and also to Metrocrest Food Bank gladly accepted at the door.
Generate Life Church will feature a Fear Not Christmas program on Sunday, December 11 from 10:00 - 11:15 PM at 150 S. Denton Tap Rd. #117, Coppell. In every time of uncertainty, God always reminds His people to not be afraid! With all that is going on in our busy, chaotic and disturbing world this is very “Good News”. Generate Life Church invites you and your family to a special program full of music, action, videos and laughter.

On Monday, December 12, Valley Ranch Baptist Church, 1501 E. Belt Line Road, Coppell, invites ladies of all ages to join them for an evening of fellowship, delicious treats and Christmas Crafting. Even if you don’t consider yourself to be a creative person, this is a fun opportunity to just spend some time with the gals. This event is open to women and girls of all ages. Because they want everyone to enjoy this event, they do ask that if you bring a younger child, that she would be able to sit and enjoy crafting with others for a couple of hours. Come do your holiday meal shopping at the Coppell Farmers Market on December 17 from 8:00 AM - Noon. Vendors offer special holiday meats, produce, breads, pies and more. Pre-order to be sure of availability, or just come shop and browse. Wow your recipients with artisan food gifts in holiday packs.
Snakes and Reptiles of North Texas-FCNP Lecture Series will be held at the Biodiversity Education Center, 367 Freeport Pkwy, Coppell, on Saturday, December 17 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Roger Sanderson, Director of Horticulture for Texas Discovery Gardens, will return to discuss snakes and reptiles of North Texas. This is a very interesting presentation with “hands-on” opportunities with these critters. Sanderson has one of the best collection of live snakes in the State of Texas and is a highly acclaimed instructor on this subject. His presentations illuminate and inspire increased knowledge about these often-maligned critters. Don’t miss this interesting lecture.
Come to the Cozby Library and Community Commons, 177 N Heartz Rd in Coppell, on Sunday, December 18 at 2:00 PM and learn about the history of Coppell. Presented by Local authors Jean Murph and Lou Duggan.
