Animal Services Supply Drive

December 1 - 31  |   Cozby Library and Community Commons

Are you interested in donating supplies to Animal Services this Christmas? Your donations ensure Animal Services can send each new pet parent home with supplies. Donations also free up funds to do things like more spays and neuters, medical care other than basic vaccines, and any type of unexpected expense. Starting in December we will have an ornament tree by our front desk listing needed supplies. You may drop off supplies at the library through Tuesday, December 31.


Coppell Youth Soccer Association Spring Registration

Coppell Women's Club – Holiday Luncheon

Celebrate the Holiday Season with The Coppell Women's Club. We are having a Holiday Luncheon featuring Door Prizes and Boutique Shopping.

The Menu for the event: Fresh seasonal greens with honey glazed pecans, dried apricots, cranberries, and blood-orange vinaigrette; fennel-lime butter chicken, roasted cashews, homemade pumpkin gnocchi, roasted asparagus, pearl onions and chocolate creme brulee! It's the flagship event of the club year!

There will be 25 specially-curated boutique vendors including GoldNest art, Rodan + Fields, Bab's Handmade Cards and many more!

Coppell Historical Society Open House

The Coppell Historical Society will have the Kirkland House and the Old Minyard Store on display as part of the Assistance League Christmas Home Tour. The tours will be Thursday, December 5 from 10 am - 2 pm, Friday, December 6 from 7-9 pm, and Saturday, November 7 from 10 am-2 pm. Interested persons can buy tickets from the Assistance League. The cost is $20.


Killing the 3 pm Crash 

December 5 | 7 - 8 pm | The CORE 

Learn the basics of blood sugar regulation, whether you should eat three square meals a day or six small ones, and snack ideas for keeping your blood sugar steady. Free for CORE members with no sign-up required. Non-members can purchase a day pass ($4 for Coppell residents or $6 for non-Coppell residents) at the front desk to attend.

Join us in celebrating our 20th anniversary of Coppell Christmas Home Tour and giving back to our community. For this fundraising event, $20 tickets are sold to tour four holiday-decorated homes throughout Coppell. Theatre Coppell – The Doggonest Christmas

December 6 - 8  |   Friday and Saturday 8 pm and Sunday 2:30 pm   |   Coppell Center for the Arts

Miss Ellie gives a home to lost dogs, and her latest guest is Josh, a puppy who desperately wants to be a hero – a Saint Bernard. He gets his chance when Santa Claus and his reindeer get trapped by a snowstorm and must be rescued. Josh becomes the most famous dog in the community, adored by his fellow-mutts, Miss Ellie, and another neighbor, whose own set of huskies helps him deliver the mail by sled.  It's a family-friendly tale worthy of the holiday season.

The Doggonest Christmas opens Friday, December 6, at Theatre Coppell and performs on weekends through December 22. Children age 3 years and older are welcome. Santa Claus will be available at the end of the show. This is a 1-hour show.

Coppell Farmers Market

The Coppell Farmers Market is the best unique, small market in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Vendors feature grass-fed meats and poultry, organic eggs, artisan breads, honey, and other specialty products. Come out to the Farmers Market to find local healthy food, develop a relationship with those providing your food, meet up with friends and neighbors, and be a part of the local movement. Holiday Tree Lighting 

December 7 | 6 – 9 pm | Andrew Brown Park East 

This year's celebration is moving to the park! Andrew Brown Park East will be aglow with holiday lights and activities. The new location isn't the only change this year. This year's lighted parade is going motor-free! Join us for a mini-parade in the park, featuring wagons, strollers, bikes, pets, families, community groups all decked out with twinkling holiday lights! The parade will travel around the west lawn at Andrew Brown Park East. After the parade, experience holiday fun at the park! The crowd will countdown to the lighting of the 50-foot tree — the largest tree yet. Enjoy bounce houses, face painting, holiday decoration crafting stations, and take photos with Santa and his many helpers. Listen as traditional carolers perform your holiday favorites while snacking on holiday treats, available for purchase from Liberation Coffee and Doughnut Snob. 


HarpEssence

Free CPR Class

CPR AED is an instructor-led course that teaches critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency situation until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid, choking relief, and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants. Please register online at LifeSafetyPark.org.

The Coppell Lions Club Membership Meeting

The Coppell Lions Club meets every 1st and 3rd Monday. Each meeting includes the discussion of current and planned activities, as well as frequent guest speakers who discuss issues in and around Coppell, North Texas and Texas as a whole.

Meetings are open to anyone that would like to attend. You can contact the club and arrange for a member to sponsor you into the meeting.

The meeting program starts at 7 pm and is preceded by a short social time at 6:45pm.

Holiday Bird Count 

December 27 | 10 am – Noon | Biodiversity Education Center

Start a new holiday tradition by joining the nation's longest running citizen science bird project of counting winter bird populations. Bring your binoculars and your love for our feathered friends as a Master Naturalist leads you on a walk around Coppell Nature Park to spot the local birds. This hike is open to birders of all skill levels. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear close toed shoes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.


Stan Lee Celebration Day

Come join us for a celebration of Stan Lee's life and contributions to the comic and film industry. Stan Lee would have been 97 on December 28, 2019. For teens in grades 6 - 12. To celebrate, we'll enjoy the following:
