Coppell Republican Women

Join the Coppell Republican Women for their first meeting of 2017 at Cozby Public Library, 177 N. Heartz in Coppell on February 2.  Social time and refreshments start at 6:30 pm, and the meeting will begin at 7:00.   What is a Convention of States? Are you in favor of it, opposed to it or not sure what it is. Come meet Natalie Miller with Convention Of States Action and learn about the COS movement. Texas is involved in the movement and it is priority for Governor Abbott and Lt. Governor Patrick so you need to be informed. This Pulitzer Prize winning play made Paul Newman a star and the movie version featured celebrities like William Holden, Kim Novak and Rosalind Russell. On Labor Day decades ago, a young man named Hal, full of animal vitality, wanders into the joint backyards of two families. Although he is self-conscious of his failings and his hard luck, he changes the lives of everyone within the households – mostly for the better.

Intro to Meditation

The Dallas Meditation Center will be at the Cozby Library to teach the benefits of meditation and help you get started. Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and socks. Adults 18 and older. This program is part of Coppell Reads, 2017 City-Wide Read.

Coppell Lions Club Meeting

Lions Club is the largest international service organization in the world and is always looking for a few good new members to get involved with serving others in Coppell. Each meeting is a chance to get to know some very interesting people. Often, an entertaining and educational program is scheduled. Dinner is served.

Lions have FUN as they work together to better their community and help people around the globe. They need YOU to join them in fulfilling their motto, “We Serve”!  Attend a club meeting and see what Lionism is all about.

Open Mic Night

Calling all musicians, writers, poets, dancers, comedians, and more! Open Mic Night returns to the Cozby Library on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Sign up starts at 6:00 the night of the program at the Information Desk. You may perform a maximum of 5 minutes. This program is open to all ages and any content must be appropriate for all ages. Microphone will be provided. Bring your friends to perform or cheer you on!

Be Mine, Valentine Dances at The CORE
February 12  |   1:30-5:30 pm   |   The CORE, 234 E. Parkway Blvd. Coppell, TX​

You are cordially invited to an afternoon of royal proportions! Join The CORE for a magical afternoon of music, dancing, and light refreshments at the Be Mine, Valentine Dances. Special visitors from far away kingdoms, including Princess Cinderella and Belle and The Beast, will welcome guests to the event. Take home a professional portrait to remember the magical time spent with your little princess or prince.  The mother/son dance will be held from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm and the father/daughter dance will be from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm. Living Well in Coppell Walk, Stretch & Chill Triathlon

Living Well in Coppell will host a free Walk, Stretch & Chill Triathlon featuring a 1-mile walk around Andy Brown Park, a 30-minute yoga session and a 30-minute meditation session at The CORE, 234 Parkway Blvd. The event is open to all ages and fitness levels. The Governmental Affairs Committee has historically taken on the role of educator in the political arena by providing monthly round-table discussions on issues of importance to the business community.

Governmental Affairs hosts the Annual State of the City Address, Candidate Forum as well as other events throughout the year.

Open to the public, but please RSVP if you would like them to provide you lunch for $10.

Taylor's Gift Sporting Clays Tournament

The Sporting Clays Tournament is one of their most popular events - you won't want to miss it!
Sporting Clays is a form of clay pigeon shooting, often described as "golf with a shotgun." A typical course includes from 10 to 15 different shooting stations laid out over natural terrain. Basically, it's the perfect excuse to get out of the office and support a great cause.
Proceeds raised at this event will help their mission and support their Legacy Gift program.
