Summer Reading Challenge

It’s easy to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge! Keep track of everything online! The first day to log your reading is Saturday, June 2. There will be grand prize winners for kids, teens and adults.


Musical Instrument Donation Drive

Libraries rock this summer! We’ve partnered with Half Steps Music Foundation in Lewisville to collect your used musical instruments. Half Steps Music Foundation believes music can change lives. This nonprofit corporation reconditions used musical instruments and donates them to organizations for the advancement of performing arts and music education. Donate your used musical instruments anytime during summer. Arrangements can be made to pick up large musical instruments. Visit www.halfsteps.org for more information.


Summer Reading Kickoff Party

Splish Splash Storytime

A special story time at the pool! The CORE and the Cozby Library are partnering again this summer to offer Splish Splash Storytime, in conjunction with Tot Swim. Meet at the pool for stories, songs, splashing and fun! Storytime is free and will take place in the outdoor pool. Those who wish to stay and swim can do so until 12:45 pm. If you would like to stay and swim after 12:45 pm, please present your CORE membership card, punch pass or pay the regular day pass rate. For parents and children up to age 8.


Teen Workshop: Knockerball

Ever wonder what it’s like to be in a giant inflatable ball? Yeah, we haven’t either, but you can find out by attending our Knockerball event! Parent must sign consent waiver. For teens entering grades 6 - 12.


Salesforce for Youth

Dallas Salesforce Developer’s group will conduct a one-day training program on Salesforce.com Cloud Computing Platform for students in grades 9 - 12. This training will provide the participants with an overview of Salesforce cloud computing platform, the tools and the skills to build a Salesforce.com application which runs on the cloud. FIFA Tournament

Get ready for the 2018 FIFA World Cup with a tournament in the meeting room! Pick your country and play for the Cup! We will have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. May the best player win! Pioneer Day

June 16  |  9 am – 1 pm  |  Coppell Farmers Market
Have you ever imagined what Coppell looked like when it was first settled? Now you have your chance at the second annual Pioneer Day on Saturday, June 16.
Adults and children can learn about the history of Coppell, partake in activities and watch demonstrations such as butter churning, coffee grinding, as well as an animal petting area, music, food and more.
Do not miss the Pioneer Parade, beginning at 9 am at Life Safety Park! If you would like to participate, line up at 8:30 am in time for judging at 8:45 am.

The categories for the contests are as follows: most authentic, best decorated and most spirited.

Coppell Community Orchestra

RepairCon

Got a toaster that doesn’t toast? A shirt with missing buttons? Stop by the RepairCon to connect with people in the community that have the skills and knowledge to show you how to repair things like household appliances, clothes, jewelry, toys, guitars and more! Shipwrecked

The 2018 Youth Soccer Cup will be held August 24 - 26! Coppell Soccer Association and Tournament Central invite you to come and be a part of the 2018 Coppell Cup being held at the beautiful Wagon Wheel and Andy Brown West soccer complexes. This tournament will be a great season opener to get your team ready for the fall season. Come out and have some pre-season fun!
