Lane Closures and Detours Expected on Freeport Parkway

September 19-20

​​City of Coppell Public Works staff will be performing asphalt repairs on Freeport Parkway on Wednesday, September 19 and Thursday, September 20. These repairs will help prolong the life of the roadway during construction. 

On Wednesday, September 19, crews will be working on Freeport Parkway between Dividend and the bridge near Fritz Drive. Northbound traffic will be detoured right onto Wrangler, then left to Enterprise and, lastly, right on Airline. Southbound traffic will be detoured left on Airline, then right on Enterprise and, lastly, right on Wrangler. A moving work zone with the necessary flaggers and equipment will be in the remaining roadway section to the south.

On Thursday, September 20, crews will perform the remainder of the repairs from Bethel to the bridge near Fritz Drive. A moving work zone with flaggers, equipment and barricades will be in this section. 

Crews will begin setting up necessary signs and equipment at approximately 2 p.m. each day. Road and lane closures will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. each day, depending on traffic levels. 

The City of Coppell set out message boards on Tuesday, September 18 at the intersections of Bethel Road/Freeport Parkway and Dividend Road/Freeport Parkway to inform drivers of the upcoming closures and detours.
