Cozby Library's Volunteer Program creates opportunities for individuals to perform a valuable service for the community. The Program encourages area residents to become familiar with their library and the services being offered and supplements the efforts of library staff. The Friends of the Coppell Public Library actively promote library programs and increase library resources through a variety of activities. Friends also volunteer to help out at local community events and library programs. The Friends have a vision to build a community of library advocates in order to enhance the Cozby Library experience. It is their mission to enhance the library experience by creating public awareness, fostering community spirit, and bringing new programs to the library. Want to join the Friends? Applications are open! Due to revised citywide summer programming plans and the need to ensure ongoing social distancing as a result of COVID-19, we do not have an upcoming in-person volunteer opportunities available. We will resume these opportunities when it is safe to do so. To offset this change, we have developed virtual volunteer opportunities for summer 2020.
