Effective immediately, any owner, contractor, or other party who comes into contact with a City of Coppell Building, Code Compliance, or Environmental Health Inspector must wear a mask or face covering.
Effective MONDAY, JULY 6th, the following residential inspections will only be conducted by Remote Video Inspection: water heaters, hvac replacement, roofing, windows, and interior plumbing and electrical repairs for occupied residences. Please see our Remote Video Inspection page for instructions on scheduling these inspections. The City will still accept, review, and issue all classifications of building permits. All other inspections will continue to be conducted in person.
All inspections may be scheduled through the Customer Self Service portal (CSS). For Remote Video Inspections, please email inspect@coppelltx.gov, AFTER scheduling your inspection on CSS, to set up the appointment time.
All permit applications, plans and payments will also be handled through CSS. The portal and instructions to create an account can be found at here.
Anyone wishing to apply for a Certificate of Occupancy or Contractor Registration will need to email inspect@coppelltx.gov or call 972-304-3500. Contractor Registration forms can be found on our website under Building Inspections or by clicking here. Please email your Contractor Registration form to inspect@coppelltx.gov.
