Take an active role in cleaning up Coppell streets, parks, and neighborhoods! This year around program, encourages community groups from all around town come together to do litter cleanups and beautification projects. In the past, residents hosted dozens of litter clean-up, spruced up fences, pulled weeds, and handed out plant starts. Getting involved is easy! If you have a project that will make our community cleaner and greener, fill out this request form to have the City of Coppell sponsor your supplies. For further questions, please email the KCB team.
Organize a Litter Cleanup
Choose a location where you notice a need and fill out a request for clean-up supplies. We will provide trash bags, gloves, and trash pickers upon request. You can do this year-round, but t-shirts will be provided for groups that participate in the annual April event which contributes to a nationwide effort, the Great American Cleanup. Clean Coppell volunteers that wear their t-shirts to Earthfest get a free treat!
Organize a Beautification Project
Be creative! If you have a project in mind and the people willing to do it, you can submit an application to have KCB sponsor the supplies. The project should benefit the community through preservation or beautification. Some ideas include:
- Graffiti removal
- Helping an elderly or disabled neighbor meet code requirements for their yard
- Planting a monarch waystation to attract butterflies
- Restoring shared gardens such as community or school gardens
