Facilitated Education Programs

The BEC offers a variety of facilitated group activities that help learners connect with nature. Choose from a suite of lessons, hikes and games to create a customized educational experience. Most activities are about 30 minutes in duration and accommodate a group of about 20 students. Activities can be used individually or in combination to accommodate learning goals, larger group sizes, or longer duration of time. Activities are facilitated by BEC staff or trained volunteers, and a minimum number of adult chaperones from the visiting organization is required.

Science and Safety Field Trips*

Life Safety Park and Biodiversity Education Center have teamed up to offer joint field trip opportunities for groups of up to 120 participants! While one group of 60 students visits Life Safety Park, another group of 60 students visits the Biodiversity Education Center at the same time. These groups ‘switch’ locations during the lunch break to complete the second learning session. Please note that LSP and BEC are two separate facilities, and transportation is required between sites. Visit the Life Safety Park website for more information.
