Spring 2021 Special Events

Kick-Off Spring with the City of Coppell!

Our special event staff has been hard at work to develop and reimagine our events for a safe and enjoyable experience while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines for gatherings.

While 2020 provided a unique opportunity to expand our activity offerings, our staff are thrilled at the prospect of reintroducing in-person events into the 2021 schedule. The safety and well-being of our citizens is a high priority and with that in mind, our events will look a little different this year. Ranging from virtual events to socially distant in-person events to self-directed family-friendly activities, there will be something to meet everyone’s comfort level. If you attended any virtual events or participated in our home/business decorating contests in 2020, some things may look familiar in 2021!

For our newly reinvented in-person events, there will be some major differences for attendees, including reservations required, face masks for all in attendance, and other social distancing measures. To ensure a safe and socially distant event, registration will be limited. But the unique Coppell experience will still be the same.

Sunset Socials

Outdoor entertainment is returning to the park, with socially-distant, family-friendly events at Andrew Brown East!  The first Sunset Social of 2021 will be held on Friday, March 12 with a cinematic animal adventure on the big screen, featuring “Dolittle” (PG). On Friday, March 26, enjoy a live music performance by Infinite Journey, a Journey tribute band. Both events will begin at 7 pm at Andrew Brown Park East, 260 E. Parkway Blvd.
