Outdoor entertainment is returning to the park, with socially-distant, family-friendly events at Andrew Brown East! City of Coppell staff has been hard at work to develop and reimagine events for a safe and enjoyable experience while adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols. Events will look different this year with reservations required for some events, face masks encouraged for attendees, and other social distancing guidelines. But the unique Coppell experience will still be the same.

Metrocrest Donation Drive at the Park

Friday, March 26 beginning at 6 p.m.
Give back to your community Friday night at Sunset Socials: Music in the Park! We will be accepting donations of non-perishable items on behalf of Metrocrest Services, benefitting those in need in the Coppell community and surrounding areas. Donations may be dropped off beginning at 6 p.m. at the Grand Pavilion. List of urgent pantry needs (PDF).

Check-In for Reserved Spaces

Upon arrival, please make your way to the Grand Pavilion to check-in. Check-in begins at 6:15 pm. After you check-in, you will be able to proceed down into the park to pick your Social Square. The square locations are first-come, first-served and you must check-in before picking your square.

We are encouraging everyone to bring blankets and chairs to sit on. Please no tents or similar raised structures, as they may reduce visibility for those behind you.

 High-Volume Attendance Expected

The music will begin playing promptly at 7:00 pm. Due to the availability of general seating at this event, we are anticipating a higher volume of attendance outside of the Social Squares. Please make sure you arrive early to secure a parking spot and to select your Social Square location prior to the music beginning.


Parking will be available at Andrew Brown Park East and at The CORE, 234 E. Parkway Blvd. Should you need to park elsewhere, parking is available at Moore Road Park (600 N. Moore Rd.) and Andrew Brown Park Central (364 N. Denton Tap Rd.). You can follow the trails down into the main portion of Andrew Brown Park East. Please remember to stop by the Grand Pavilion for check-in prior to selecting your Social Square.

Food Options

Food will be available for purchase at the event from F&F Express, Waffle O’licious, and Mandico Ice Cream truck.

COVID-19 Protocols

Advance registration is available to reserve a spot on the lawn. Registration is limited, we encourage you to sign up early. At the event, registered attendees will choose a designated 10’x10’ “Social Square” on the lawn. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, each reservation is limited to six persons and each 10’x10’ square on the lawn will be spaced 6 ft. apart. Masks are encouraged while outside of reserved seating areas. General seating will also be available for those who do not wish to reserve a distanced space.

Event attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to enjoy the show. Food trucks will be on-site to purchase food and refreshments. Both events are family-friendly and free. 

Coppell Parks & Recreation measures in place to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. Including:

  • Social Squares hold a maximum of 6 guests per square.
  • There will be at least 6 feet of distance between each Social Square.
  • Masks are encouraged to be worn while walking outside of your Social Square and are optional once inside your square.
  • Please maintain a safe social distance of 6ft apart from other groups at the event and in foot traffic areas, in accordance with CDC guidelines.
  • Automatic hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the event. Please use these stations as often as needed.
  • All event staff and vendors are required to wear masks.
