The City of Coppell is proud to announce that its National Night Out (NNO) efforts were once again ranked first place in the State of Texas and fourth place in the nation for cities with populations between 15,000 – 50,000. The National Association of Town Watch (NATW) publishes the ranking each year based on citizen participation, law enforcement involvement, organization, and quality of activities.
The NNO awards program recognizes registered communities for participation in the NNO campaign, which took place in Coppell the evening of October 4. The annual community-building event promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie through a series of block parties, which are visited by members of law enforcement and local government. Coppell consistently places in one of the top spots each year.
