[ARCHIVED] Library to Become Cashless in 2023

Exterior photo of the library with a pink, purple, and blue sky.

The library will be a cashless facility starting Tuesday, January 3.

This change will have the following impacts on library services:

  • Cash and coins will not be accepted for any payments at the library. Acceptable forms of payment include debit/credit cards, personal checks, or money orders. All debit/credit card transactions have a nonrefundable $2 processing fee.
  • Printing will be free and limited to 20 pages per print job. Only black and white printing will be available. Color prints will no longer be supported.
  • Copying services will also be discontinued starting January 3.

Paying for Lost Items or Non-Resident Cards

Items may be paid by personal check, money order, or credit/debit card. All credit/card transactions will incur a non-refundable $2.00 processing charge.

Printing

In order to provide equitable use of library services for our entire community, regardless of who may have access to a credit card or checkbook, we have chosen to not charge for black & white printing. As a result, we have set limits on the number of pages that can be printed at a time. We ask your help in keeping our services sustainable.

Discontinuing Color Printing and Copying

In order to sustain printing services to our community, we can no longer offer supplemental services such as photocopying and color printing.
