[ARCHIVED] Trash and Recycling Service to Resume Monday

Republic Services will resume trash, recycling, and bulk collection on Monday, February 22.

Republic staff is aware of the additional waste that has accumulated due to weather-related service interruptions and will be working diligently to get everything removed as soon as possible. Please place your carts and additional bagged waste at your normal collection point by 7 am on Monday and leave them out until they are collected. Republic will work to remove all waste by Monday, but they may be unable to do so. Don’t worry, Republic WILL make it to your neighborhood this week. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Residential customers are allowed a maximum of 10 bags of solid waste per service day. Each bag should not weigh more than 40 pounds. Republic will pick up anything that is contained in a bag or a cart, such as ceiling tiles.

Bulk Waste, which is materials not easily contained in a cart or trash bag, should not exceed two cubic yards per collection. Bulk waste includes, but is not limited to:

  • Furniture
  • Oversized acceptable solid waste
  • Swing sets
  • Water heaters
  • Carpets
  • Carpets pads

All appliances containing Freon must have the Freon removed by a certified technician, and the proper paperwork must be attached to the item before pickup. All appliances containing water must be drained properly.
