James Everett is an Archeological Steward for the Texas Historical Commission and the Immediate Past President of the Texas Archeological Society and the North Texas Archeological Society. Everett will be presenting a program (virtually) for the Cozby Library and Community Commons on Saturday, March 27 at 2 pm regarding the Native Americans who lived in the North Texas area.
First, he will be looking at the groups who occupied North Texas in the 1800s, showing where they came from, when they entered North Texas, and briefly what type of culture they had. Then, he will point out the very lengthy pre-history behind Native cultures in North Texas (Paleo, Archaic, Late Prehistoric).
All ages are welcome to attend this virtual program. Children must attend with an adult. Registration is required. Only one registration per household needed. Register for Native American Cultures of North Texas.
