[ARCHIVED] November is National Novel Writing Month

Black and white map image of the earth with text below reading Indie Author Project.

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Writing a book can be a difficult process. NaNoWriMo helps track your progress, set goals, and connect with other writers. Visit the NaNoWriMo website to sign up today. You can also explore the Library's research center for more tools to help write that novel.

Indie Author Project is a self-publishing tool built to help libraries find the best indie books and share them with their patrons.

After submitting to IAP, your book can be shared with patrons of participating libraries across your region. If your book is selected by our curation partners, it will also be available alongside other great indie reads in participating libraries across the U.S. and Canada.

Our annual Indie Author Day is Saturday, November 13 from 1 - 4 pm. Meet and support local authors and attend a writing workshop and an author visit with Patricia Gallo-Stenman. More details about Indie Author Day can be found here.

A monthly writer's group meets at the library for additional support and inspiration. Visit our online calendar for more details.
