As part of the budget process each year, the Coppell City Council reviews applications and presentations from local service organizations seeking monetary assistance from the City. A variety of service organizations will present to the Council at the June 16, 2022, Budget Workshop.

For fiscal year 2022-2023, the City Council is considering requests in the amount of $403,872. Organizations asking for assistance include the Coppell Arts Council, the Coppell Chamber of Commerce, Metrocrest Services, the Coppell YMCA, Coppell Historical Society, and Woven Community Clinic. The funding requests range in values from approximately $2,500 to $107,000.

Though funding requests from local service organizations have historically amounted to less than .5% of the City’s total General Fund budget, the services that these organizations provide have a far greater value. If approved by the City Council, the funding assistance will go toward programs that have a direct impact on Coppell residents. The organizations that are funded provide vital services that improve the quality of life in Coppell that the City cannot cost effectively offer.
