The Cozby Library and Community Commons is proud to announce that it is a Texas Book Festival 2022 Library Grant recipient. The grant awards the library $2,500 to establish a teen large print collection and expand the adult large print collection. The addition and expansion of these collections, along with the existing junior large print collection, uphold the library’s mission to support the lifelong reader. You can expect the books purchased through this grant to be available in October.

The Texas Book festival's mission is to promote literacy and support Texas libraries. Since 1996, the organization has funded 1,169 grants totaling over $3 million to 600+ libraries across the state of Texas. For more information on the grant and the Texas Book Festival, visit https://www.texasbookfestival.org/. The 2022 Texas Book Festival is scheduled for November 5 and 6 in downtown Austin.

For 6th-12th grade students who love to write, consider entering the Texas Book Festival’s Fresh Ink Fiction Contest. The deadline is approaching! Interested young writers should submit their stories before Wednesday, September 14.
