The Cozby Library and Community Commons will be spending the week of October 16 - 22 celebrating its Friends of the Library group as part of the 17th annual celebration of National Friends of the Libraries Week.
The Friends help maintain the Early Literacy Backpacks and the Discovery Backpacks by purchasing replacement books and toys as needed. Our Friends also sponsored our author visit with Laura Gao in May. Gao is a CHS graduate and the author of the graphic novel Messy Roots. This year they also purchased the new sensory activity wall in the Toddler Room that features a variety of engaging elements that encourage children to explore. The Friends provided popsicles at our End of Summer Reading Celebration. You can often see the Friends at the Coppell Farmers Market with their Pop-Up Book Sale. The Friends will be at the Farmers Market on Saturday, October 29 with their mini book sale and mini pumpkins to decorate. The Big Book Sale will be on November 18, 19, and 20.
The next Friends of the Library meeting is Tuesday, November 1 at 7 pm. Join the Friends to support the library and your community. Find out more about joining the Friends, volunteering, and donating on the Coppell Friends website.
