If you see firefighters with their boots in hand at intersections in Coppell this week, please consider dropping in a donation to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)! The Coppell Fire Department and the Coppell Firefighters Association Local 3178 will be hosting their annual Fill the Boot fundraiser starting this Wednesday, October 19. Donations will support MDA and its mission to accelerate research, advance care, and advocate for people and their families living with neuromuscular disease.
Dedicated fire fighters will hit the streets to fill their boots with donations from pedestrians, motorists and other passersby on Wednesday, October 19, Thursday, October 20, and Friday, October 21. Individuals and local businesses can also show their support by donating online at filltheboot.donordrive.com/team/coppell3178.
Since 1954, the partnership between the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and MDA has involved over 300,000 fire fighters nationwide and raised more than $679 million. These funds have led in part to more than a dozen FDA-approved drugs for those with neuromuscular disease.
Help the Coppell Firefighters Association Local 3178 in supporting MDA by donating today!
