    Cozby Library & Community Commons

President John F. Kennedy was killed by a bullet from a sniper’s rifle November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. An endeavor to find the responsible party for this tragic event brought the FBI and local law enforcement to a small home in Irving, Texas. The home belonged to Ruth Paine, a suburban housewife who was friends with Marina Oswald, Lee Harvey Oswald's wife. Kevin Kendro, Archives Coordinator at the Irving Archives and Museum, will uncover the hidden history of the Ruth Paine House Museum which has been restored to the way it looked in 1963. The house includes multimedia exhibits that describe how Ruth’s friendship with Marina brought Lee Oswald into her home. Kendro will discuss the process of restoring the home and preserving the story of those who lived there. While this program is intended for adults, older children and teens are welcome to attend. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult while visiting the library. Registration is not required.
