    Every February, people across the nation come together for events and activities to celebrate Black History Month. It’s a time for us to continue our collective journey of honoring and deepening our knowledge of the history and contributions of Black Americans and people of African descent. The theme for Black History Month 2021 is The Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity. This Coppell Library's Black History Month event aligns with the theme, spanning the various areas from business, education, arts, civics, technology, entertainment, sports, and more! Join us for uplifting and entertaining musical and vocal performances, storytelling, and a showcase of Coppell community members' achievements and talents that highlight the history, diversity and achievements of our local Black community and the Black community nationwide.

Life Safety Park

  1. CPR-AED Class

    February 13, 2021, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Life Safety Park

    About: CPR AED is an instructor-led course that teaches critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency situation until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid, choking relief, and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.

    Other Things to Know:
    - REGISTRATION REQUIRED! Visit www.LifeSafetyPark.org for registration details.
    - This class does not provide the card needed for some professions.
    - There is no minimum age requirement for this class; however, all registrants need to be capable of comprehending the material and participating in the activities. In general, this class suits ages 15+.
    - Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
    - Arrive 10 minutes prior to class time.
